This is my 1st build and I need some input on the specs. Tell me if you guys think this will all work and give me suggestions. I want a fast computer for gaming. Tell me if this will work:

Motherboard - ECS nForce 570 SLIT-A v5.1 NVIDIA Socket 775 ATX Motherboard / Audio / PCI Express / S/PDIF / SLI Ready / Gigabit LAN / USB 2.0 / Serial ATA / RAID---$99.99

Processor - Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.40GHz / 4MB Cache / 1066MHz FSB / Dual-Core / OEM / Socket 775 / Processor---$314.99

soundcard - Turtle Beach Montego 7.1 Dolby Digital Live Surround PCI Sound Card---$54.99

video card - EVGA GeForce 7300 GT / 512MB GDDR2 / SLI / PCI Express / DVI / VGA / TV Out / Video Card---$119.99

Is there anything I am missing, will this be a good build? Thanks

Trust me, you don't want a turtle beach sound card. I own a turtle beach, and I own a creative. The difference is like a Pentium 1 and a QX6700.

Ultra RAM isn't that great, look for OCZ and other trusted brands

down grade the CPU and get a better mobo and video card

instead of getting a sound card use the money to get better more important parts like mobo, video card, ram and a better PSU

ywah

is this a good mobo? any suggestions for the best one I can get that will work with all my parts and sub $150?

And any suggestions on parts? OCZ is beter than ultra you guys said, ill look at kingston too. But isnt my PSU good? Any better video card suggestions?

Either use the onboard sound, or get a sound card from Creative.

And DO NOT but that video card. $120 for that card is a horrible price, and that would be an extremely bad performer in new games.

You can also get much better RAM for the price. I got 2x 1GB of Patriot DDR2-667 for $207.
