Any suggestions? Criticisms? not a gaming box at this point, but if I put an 8600ultra or two in upon release would it preform well in some games?

LG isn't generic...

I agree with HumanMage...the Pentium D is crap. If you don't want to spend the money on a C2D, at least go AMD. AMD had the lead over Intel during the Pentium era, because as I said, the Pentium 4's and D's suck. A C2D is your best option, and will deliver noticeable performance improvement over most of it's competition (except the higher end AMD models..the ones that cost 2-3x the C2D).

EDIT:
How much would that up the price and do you have any suggestions?
A C2D would imcrease the price about $75, but it's definitely worth it.

By generic I just meant there was nothing special about it and I wasn't to worried about compatibility.... and motherboards, I'm clueless about them?

Is there a version of that mobo, like exactly the same thing that is standard ATX? that would be perfect!
thanks for the input, I did some more resarch and you were definately right about C2D
Thanks!

The ASUS is definitely the better choice..Asus is a very respected brand in mobo's...

While the Asus mobo is micro ATX, it should fit most ATX cases.

How good or bad this is? It is pretty much a perfect mobo for my needs
Edit: has the perfect feature set for my needs but I don't know if it is good at all

I doubt I will OC it but I might add a decent GPU and ram

Also will that work with the ram and HD from my original post? It seems in order but I'm not sure.
