Arrived via UPS this morning:
Thermaltake Toughpower 1200W Modular # W0133RU
Gigabyte GA-965P-DQ6 & Core 2 extreme QX6800
Thermaltake Armor Aluminum Case
Themantake Tower 12 cooling fan
Corsiar Twin2X2048-8500C5D x 2 (4gb Memory)
2 GeForce 8800 GTX's
I'm still waiting for 2 Hitachi GST DeskStar 7K1000 HDDs, 2 Raptor 150Gb 10000 rpm drives, and a Lite-On Super-Multi LH20A1H DVD burner.
Any other suggestions?
Should be fun to play with for a while but for some sick reason I have more fun building computers and getting them tweaked just right than I do just using them.

Nice, but that gigabyte board isn't SLi compatible, it's only crossfire compatible. I'm jealous, I wish I could spend that much money on a system.

Ya me 2 I think thats why we are all here ;) :P

There's always someone out there who wants the newest, the fastest, the biggest.... whatever, but doesn't have the skills to build it on their own. Some idiot with more money than brains paid me $12,000 for the system listed in my signature - minus the monitors. It paid most of my bills and hopefully before too long I'll have a steady business going. This one is probably going up for sale within a month and if it doesn't, well I have about 3.5 TB of media stored on external drives that I will finally be able to organize. I wanted a system that could play battlefield 2 on one monitor and dvd movies on the other... at the same time. Also thinking about getting an HD-DVD drive

that may be why i tend to build a new computer every month lol

but the build looks good if u want me try out one of those gpu's for u let me know :)

I feel no guilt whatsoever for taking the guy's check. I spent about 140 hours tweaking that system. When I sold it, it was OC'd to 3.4 Ghz and had run JCR benchmark suite for a full week without overheating or crashing. Besides the guy drives a Porche Cayenne. I doubt $12,000 even put a dent in his checking account.
By the way, I think the new Hitachi drives might actually be faster than the Raptors. I mistakenly installed vista ultimate on the wrong drive and when I shut it down and restarted it, it took about 40 seconds to get the desktop back up, as opposed to nearly 2 minutes for the same process after I ran killdisk and reinstalled it on a Raptor drive. It also took much longer to reinstall.
