New case and cooling

1. I'm pretty sure they're HDD bays.
2. The picture on Newegg? I don't see one, no, you can try to mod one in if you have the time/resources :D

Hey I just got this case and I had a few questions about it.

1. what are the brackets for under the 3.5" bays?

2. Is there a way to mount a fan in the front? I think the picture shows a fan under the hard drive bays. If I can how do I tell what size fan I can have?

Here is the link to the case and specs.

Thanks

1. the bracket in the lower set of mounting bays looks like it might house a Solid state drive ("NZXT solid state bracket allows for two SSD drives to be installed") (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146058)

2. the spec describes 5 possible fans, "In the front is an accomidation for a 120mm fan, however, NZXT only provides a side 120mm intake and 120mm exhaust in the rear." (http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/nzxt_m59/2.htm)

Hope this helps with your decision!

Maybe have a look at the cheaper gamma case, more fans and no window but it looks far classier imo. Better airflow to.

First off, thanks for all of the help.:D

AI have done a bit more searching around for something that will help me and I found that they have a drilled spot in the lower front of the case (in between the outer mesh and the bottom storage bays). some of the other reviews have said that I need to drill out the holes in order to use the screws that come with most fans. So i guess I will just have to try it out and see what works.

Thanks again for all the help!

be careful though. Nothing worse than a case that is not perfect...

in the pics in that link I posted you can see that the front fan housing should be pretty straight forward (very bottom pic), I don't think it should need any mod...

If you're gonna add a fan or two I say go big and go up top 140mm

My biggest is the quietest fan by far and the top exhaust is superb especially with a cooler blowing upwards :D

Very true. The reason for the front mounted fan is it will be sitting under my desk and I wanted to have a way to pump cold air in and move it over the cpu and the gpu. I will have a fan on top as well but that seemed like an easy install.
