ordered all the parts few days ago...not a SUPER comp, but itll do i hope...lol

ASUS A8N-SLi Prem
ASUS CDROM combo drive (i need another drive thatll lemme basically burn DVDs onto it, after DLing....or copy a DVD)
Seagate 120GB 7200RPM (keep or sell for alittle cash and get a nicer one, and 160GB...?)
X2 2.6ghz (gonna overclock to 2.8)
1GB Kingston HyperX RAM (should i get another GB for christmas?)
XFX GeForce 7900GT (MIGHT overclock it alittle)
Windows XP Pro

Logitech G5 Mouse


now i just gotta order some speakers (to watch DVDs and listen to music)
headphones for games, and a better soundcard than the onboard one...

decent?

I was wondering, do I need to buy a virus protector, or any that are DLable or does Windows Pro come with one that isnt a trial version?

i heard that avg isnt going to be free no more because when i had it i got a pop up saying from jan 15 or something you have to pay

I would not go socket 939 as they are being discontinued. Did you already buy those parts? If not, why not look for a Core 2. From what I can tell, your budget will allow it.

Do you have version 7.5? Because if you have the previous version, 7.1, then there will always be a pop up saying it'll expire on Jan.
 
yes i already ordered lol...and ive had the MOBO for 2 months now..and the case and cdrom and HD, so yea...

am i boned now? lol.... i can always get a new mobo and stuff later on...but i mean this comp should be good for awhile tho?
