New Computer acting very slow. Need Assistance! (SOS)

  1. Are you ensuring your replace thermal paste when you do your 'weekly airclean'?
  2. 64 bit operating system?
  3. Latest BIOS for your motherboard? (can really help) - and correct HDD settings etc.
  4. Clean install of nvidia driver completed?

If the above doesn't help, I would reinstall Windows - actually, if you'd done that first you'd probably be finished by now ;)

that would purely depend on if he removes the heatsink to clean it or leaves it on. If the heatsink is removed, you 100% must replace the thermal paste. No way around it.

Hmm, you're really sure you got the latest drivers installed?
This is a pretty weird problem with your specs...
yea....It has me frustrated.....

After playing Battlefield 3 Conquest on Kharg Island the game decided to Freeze and stop working after 40 minutes of playing....

No, when I mean clean, I just mean taking the side panels off and hitting it with Airduster. On the GPU fan, CPU fan, all those little crevices. I have 5 fans in my computer and the case is very perforated, that's why it won best ventilation award from Tomshardware, or something like that. I also have a Cat, so you can imagine the fur, dust and carpet material build up after just one week.

I agree, but I never go as far as removing the heatsink. Like I said just air duster.

My temps are fine....I just can't figure out wtf is wrong:angry:
Put it like this, I have an i7 3770K at stock speeds and I have an EVGA GTX 680 2GB, now, why in the F**** for instance would League of Legends drop down to 40FPS? COMMON?!! I could play that game maxed at solid 60 (V-sync) on my old laptop Asus G73.....Something is wrong just don't know what it is yet. Hopefully you guys can help me weed out the possibilities and hopefully find a solution. This rig was $1,500! Thing is that it has never being this way, at least not since I built it in August 2012, this is recent.

1) I don't go that far, I don't remmove the heatsink, I just use Airduster all around the inside.
2) Yes, Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
3) Does this mean "FLASH" my VBIOS and the BIOS or is it easier now? Just do it through the Asus Suite ii? 2) "and correct HDD settings" I'd like to know more about what you mean, Bigfella.
4) I just did a rolleback, haven't got a chance to see the results yet.

3. You need to do that in the BIOS. It is under tools I think in the advanced UEFI options, assuming your UEFI is the same as my UEFI. Either way, it is the last tab to the far right in the advanced settings.

You said it was good before you do the weekly clean, I don't think is the drivers or bios or any software issue unless you just install new drivers, software or new bios. if it is not virus cause this, maybe you should resit all the boards, memory and reconnect all the wires. maybe you loose one of them when you do cleaning? just a thought.
Cheers.
