New computer advice - intel core i5?

New computer hardware help!

Hey so im new here and was wondering if i could get a little advice.
As i am not to tech savvy i dont know what isthe best and whats compatible. Well i have a little knowlege but not enough to make the decision.

Well i am buying a new computer and here is the hardware i am looking at;

Intel core i5 - 660 3.33 GHZ 4mb cache

Asus p7h55 - m - pro intel motherboard

Segate 1tb 7200RPM 32mb sata 3gbs

Corsair DDR 3 4gb 12800/1600

Ati radeon 5670 - 1gb, DDR5, PCIE 2.1, DVI, HDCP, DX11, ATX, 128bit

Other hardware i already know about, (sound card etc.)

Is this hardware all compatible?
What kind of speed can i expect?
Will this support HD video?


I will be running my pc daily and when i do i will uae it heavily for downloading, movies, music, converting videos and mostly the net.
I also plan to use my pc as a tv, by using a tv tuner.
Oh and playing call of duty here and there.

It's all compatible, but for the price there are better options. What is your budget and where will you be purchasing from?

At the moment my budget is $1300 ish. More or less.
Im going to purchase all my hardware from a local seller called centrecom. I got these parts of their website.

CPU - core i5 660 is not as good as i5 750 for the price
Mobo - I suggest go for P55 instead if you plan for 5670. What case are you using? Do you really need mATX mobo?
Video card - Go for 5770 if you got the money.
 
Yeh, you could build a better computer for that price.

Heck, if you really want to spend that much I would throw a new 5770 in my i7-920 build and sell it for $1300, it has about 5 hours on it but I am bored and want to build a new computer. I think I like to build them more than use them...

Otherwise, depending where you are located see if there is a Microcenter near you. They have some really good prices for a local store.

-> Great choice of computer specifications. But as what others said you can still build a better specs and the great thing is spend the same amount of money. All you need to do is search and compare first for the prices that they've offered for each parts.
