Hi all, This my first time to post on here. I am looking to build a computer over the holidays. I am only looking to spend around 500 not counting the monitor,keyboard,ect... I do zero gaming. Its primary use is to back up all my DVD's and net surfing. All I have now is a toshiba laptop and I do not have the patients to back up all my dvd's with this. It is too slow. I know several people that back up there dvd with a dual core processor, So is it possible to build a dual core for about 500. Maybe a 160g hard drive. I dont care if its intel or amd. Just basic video and sound card are fine. I can always upgrade them later. Any feedback will be great. Thanks in advance everyone:)

Doesnt the case you listed allready have a power supply. yOu also listed a power supply. And also what is a really good dvd burner. Thanks. you have been a great help.

i'm gunna be building a dual core (ammo) box with 1gb ram a 250gb hdd and an X800GTO for around $500 so yes its very possible.

The power supplys that come with the cases are complete crap, do I dont recommend using them. As for DVD burners, no clue, sorry.

It just has a great processor with a pretty weak video card (for gaming). This is ok though since you don't do any gaming.
