New Computer Build HELP

Hey all, I am new here and had a few questions. I have been shopping around for a new computer for my wife and having a hard time finding one. I can't build my own, but Id like one built and put together with the parts I want, and no additional software that comes with name brands. The only place I found so far to build it is etccomputer.ca . She runs a small business, and does a bunch of multitasking with a few different programs running at all times. Currently she is using a amd 62bit 3200+.

I was originally looking at the AMD Phenom 9850 black edition with 2gb of memory, ASUS m3a motherboard, seagate 500gb 32mb cache sata hard drive.

I was almost going to buy that setup, but now I am thinking of going to the
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz Wolfdale 6MB 1333FSB 45nm,
(2) Kingbox DDR2 PC2-6400 2GB/800MHZ (Micron D9)
ASUS P5B SE (4DDR2,PCI-E,GbLan,eSATA)
Seagate 500GB 7200RPM 32MB Cache SATA (ST3500320AS)
Samsung 20X SH-S203S DVD+/-RW With Lightscribe (Black)
EVGA GEFORCE 8600GT 1GB PCI-E (512-P2-N795-TR) video card

I dont want to spend over $750 for a system, if I can get some feedback it would be great, I thank you in advance!

Daniel

CPU: as she do multi-tasking, I think it may be better to use Q6600.

Mobo: I will get GA-EP35-DS3L instead. Gigabyte is usually be cooler and for its need energy saving technology.

GPU: How much is that 8600GT 1GB? You won't need 1GB video ram in most case. If it is around $100, can get 8800GS instead.
On the other hand, if she is not doing anything for photoshop/video editing or CAD, You could go for on board video card. It is unnecessary to get a GPU for purely office application (MS office/ stuffing web, etc)

"Is she going to be gaming or just working? Don't get the Phenom. Get the Q9650 or Q9450..."

Again, read the OP's post. I don't think I have read one single comment from you that was even close to intelligent advice.

For a $750 budget, you could definately work the Q6600 quad-core from Intel into the mix. That processor would be extremely future-proof compared to others you could get at this time...and it doesn't break the bank.

Like another poster said, if there will be no gaming or more intense graphics use done on the PC, you don't need an 8800GS let alone an 8800GT. If you don't want to run onboard video, the Geforce 8500GT or 8600GT would be good choices on the cheap.

I could get the Q6600, but would it really be an advantage over the E8400? I thought the E8400 would be extremely fast and reliable, and if necessary could be overclocked to 3.8ghz pretty safely. It is only about $18 more for the Q6600 so if it is a better cpu it is definitely an option.

Thanks so much for everyones advice! I am definitely not an expert on PCs.

So she can use an onboard video card with that setup, and it wont slow things down at all and will still have good viewing for office applications? If so thats the best bet because it is $130 cheaper.

And the closest thing to that motherboard that the place has where I am ordering from is GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L (PCI-E,4DDR2,RAID,GbLAN). Would that still work with onboard video?
