New Computer Build HELP

Hey all, I am new here and had a few questions. I have been shopping around for a new computer for my wife and having a hard time finding one. I can't build my own, but Id like one built and put together with the parts I want, and no additional software that comes with name brands. The only place I found so far to build it is etccomputer.ca . She runs a small business, and does a bunch of multitasking with a few different programs running at all times. Currently she is using a amd 62bit 3200+.

I was originally looking at the AMD Phenom 9850 black edition with 2gb of memory, ASUS m3a motherboard, seagate 500gb 32mb cache sata hard drive.

I was almost going to buy that setup, but now I am thinking of going to the
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz Wolfdale 6MB 1333FSB 45nm,
(2) Kingbox DDR2 PC2-6400 2GB/800MHZ (Micron D9)
ASUS P5B SE (4DDR2,PCI-E,GbLan,eSATA)
Seagate 500GB 7200RPM 32MB Cache SATA (ST3500320AS)
Samsung 20X SH-S203S DVD+/-RW With Lightscribe (Black)
EVGA GEFORCE 8600GT 1GB PCI-E (512-P2-N795-TR) video card

I dont want to spend over $750 for a system, if I can get some feedback it would be great, I thank you in advance!

hmm. if you need to then drop the price on your processor and get an 8800GT instead, you will be FAR happier. also you can drop 2gb of ram for cost's sake, and because you dont really need more then 2 right now. later on it'd be a good idea to get the second set.

EDIT: oh and 1gb of vram on anything but an 8800ULTRA is just useless, dont even think about it.

Your saying drop my processor speed, and increase to a 8800gt video? She doesn't do any gaming at all.

right. she. i guess i should have read more into the post?

tell me. what is the most cpu intensive task she will be doing? internet surfing, possibly a movie? i still say you should drop the cpu. i swear that unless there is gaming, nobody will ever know the difference. leave the 8600, drop 2 gigs DEFINITELY.

EDIT: but change that 8600gt 1gb to a 512, even a game on the 8600gt does not use more then 500mb without completely crippling the card.

here is the processor i reccomend. i have one, i game on it, and it has not failed me yet: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115031

all you might want to do is turn on the computer, enter the bios, and set the FSB to 266. thats all, and it will have the exact same clock speed as the processor your currently looking at, 3GHZ. the stock fan will still work too. but even at its stock speed of 2.2ghz, it is plenty of power. very strong.
