New Computer Build

Yeah, it was the 4 pin. Is there an exact spot it should be on the 8 pin connector? I think it can go on two different spots.

Also, Would there be a reason now that the cpu fan starts then stops, while the rest of the machine goes? I didn't know if it was because it wasn't hot enough for it to kick on or something. Thanks again.

Yeah, I've boughten a cheaper one before of a different brand, and it's not to bad. I think I'd rather have it be a little noisy than spending the money for one that isn't to bad. haha.
 
I'm experiencing some weird ping/beep sometimes, and was wondering what I should do to check it. I've ran some hd tests, ect, and it seems to be fine, muting the pc seems to work, so i didn't know if it was just related to not having speakers hooked up to it yet. Thanks again.
 
Could it be possible that it is the cpu fan adjusting speeds?

I've read this somewhere, but I was just wondering. I've found that they say if you disable that feature, then it goes away.

Nevermind, I matched the sound up with some sound, and it's from the hard drive. Thanks again.
