New Computer Build

Hey guys, so before I make anything final I wanted to make sure the build I have will work to its full potential. I'm sure there are certain parts that I can change or such, but not really sure where to start as this is my first build. Trying to maintain budget below $1000, currently at $983. But if I go over budget swapping out a part with a more efficient and reliable part, then that is understandable. I will be gaming, game development, video editing, 3d mesh creating, and using Adobe Master Collection cs5 (Ps, Ai, Ae, etc.)
Thanks guys!

8 gb of ram with a dual core cpu and a 6870?

Runaway from that build immediately... what site is that from? Are you open to some suggestions for building your own pc?

Housebrand power supply, athlon x2, entry level mobo, no networking? This build is worth maybe 300 bucks. No real high points here except for cooling, memory, and maybe the graphics card. Not enough of a sell imo. The cost would be justifiable if certain things were added and others were upgraded, but as it stands it looks like an unreliable computer that will give you problems down the line.
