New Computer Build

Greetings......My son just showed me how easy it is to put together a computer. Pretty amazing. So....now I am looking to put together something for myself. With a budget of about $1000, what do y'all think I could do? I would like to start gaming again, but do not need the most powerful set up on the market.

Right now, to give you an idea, I play WOW on low. I am pretty satisfied too....that is how low my standards are. My current system is an out of box, Costco special. It's an HP Pavilion P6719c. Integrated graphics (hence my 9 fps during raids). 4GB DDR3. AMD Quad Core (not the best obviously).

So there you have it. I have had it in my brain that I might up the RAM to 8GB and add a Video Card, but that would probably require a new Power Supply. Not sure about this, but I wouldn't be surprised. Anyway.....Thoughts?

With that budget and that computer it's better to just build a new PC.

Chances are you aren't using that great of a monitor or kb and mouse, which is why I chose this. Get a 23 inch 1080p monitor and Sidewinder X4 (or Razer Lycosa or Steelseries Apex RAW), and a Steelseries Sensei RAW or Razer Deathadder. For RAM just get the cheapest 2 X 4 GB 1600 (or above) MHz RAM at the time. If there's enough money left upgrade to a 670, 770, or 280X for better peformance.
