Hey all,
I'm currently looking into building a computer,
The parts that i have selected so far are;
-Intel 980x i7 extreme (or standard not sure if theres that much of a difference)
-Corsair Hydro h70/h50 depending on availability at the time
-Corsair Dominator 3 x 2 Gb 1600 mhz ddr3 ram
-XFX ATI radeon HD 5970 2 gb ddr5 card
-NZXT Crafted Series ATX Full Tower Steel Chassis
-Standard DVD drive (dont really need blu ray until they start to release games on blu ray and i dont see it happening anytime soon)
Now the big thing that im missing in a motherboard, i have a few options but its really just doing my head in. The first one i looked at was an ASUS LGA 1366 x58 ATX rampage 3 extreme, and i was happy enough until i looked at some other boards, and to me i cant seem to justify the 360 dollar price tag along side some that were 250 or so, so if anyone can help on that front it would be awesome. Any personal reviews and such.
The next big draw card is how many fans do you think/suggest i put into the system i was thinking 2 or 3, with one being 200mm and the second being 140mm and maybe the third directing the air out of the computer via the radiator.
Before anyone says anything i also have 2 external tb hard drives and a friend of mine have 4-5 solid state drive that i can put into the computer as i need them. Also this computer is obviously being geared towards a gaming pc with a side function of downloading etc.
