and i've got 1gb pc2-5400 ram and an 80gb 7200 rpm and a dvd drive i'm attaching (the hd and dvd going both ide). i also am getting arctic silver. everything look good? any suggestions?

i don't really have a budget, but i'm just trying to build one good enough to be up-to-date for a while. why? i'd say considering i have the RAM and HD, keep it under $800. if you are talking about replacing the HD or RAM, let's hear it...

i should really get the static free wrist strap? never used one before, but don't know how lucky i've been...

also, i have a cubby hole the computer goes in. it's open on the front, not so much on the back (but could open it) and it's about wide enough to fit 2 mid-tower cases. is that too hot of a space?

anything else you guys suggest or see wrong in the setup? what about putting the computer in the compartment i described with the above components. it won't get too hot will it?

yeah...i've actually heard prices are supposed to drop for several hardware components after christmas-time. is that true? if so i may just wait a few weeks to buy everything. anybody know anything about this?
