The computer worked fine all yesterday and ive been loading software on it for a few hours today. I was in the middle of installing a game and the computer locks up. I restart it and it wont display nothing. Take out the AGP card and try the on-board video card and still get nothing. Unplugged it for 10-15min tryed it again and get nothing. Pulled out the battery on the mobo and put it back in after 10min, still nothing. Im out of ideas and am about to part this thing out. any ideas? thanks in advance.

Take the Ram out piece by piece, Start with one, and move up. Trying to identify which one might be damaged.

pulled out 1 stick at a time and also tryed the first stick i pulled. Also swapped in a new stick of ram that i know is good and still nothing.

pull out all the memory then start it up, you should get a series of beeps(no memory found)
if you get no beeps at all, then the mother board is probably dead,or the cpu

Any sign of leaks around that water cooling you have? Were you keeping an eye on your system temps when doing all of the software installs?

How over clocked is your system? If you over clocked it by a lot, then I am betting the cpu is fried.

Usually the CPU will automatically shutdown when temps get an bit too high...

Where does he say he has watercooling? I'm pretty sure he'd have heard an "hisss" if there was an leak :P Pretty sure watercooling wouldn't be on an P4 either :D

well i pulled the heatsink off today, and checked the CPU it has what looked like thermal paste on the pin part, so i cleaned it off and put it back in and everything works fine. Ive never had so much trouble while building a PC i dont think ill ever buy a LGA 775 again its a horrible design. The cpu is overclocked right now to 3.8 with temps of 25degrees Celsius and doesn't go much higher than that under a load. It has alot more left still.

He probably read "-GIGABYTE GH-WPBV1 CPU and VGA liquid Cooling system" Try booting PC, constanty pressoing F8, still wont work after trying all the suggestions on here, and no beeps.
It sounds like the motherboard has gone.

He got it to work...

the problem maybe your pc have:
the cpu fan can not work derectly to your cpu , so it can not cool your cpu, when you install the game ,the hight cpu temps make your pc down
