New Computer, Legit copy of MS Office 2007 but error 0x80070057

just bought a new Dell from Best Buy with Windows 10 installed. After installing MS Office 2007 I went to launch an MS Word document and the following window pops up: "Provisioning package runtime processing tool"

If I hit "no" then then document doesn't open and nothing happens.

However, if i hit "yes" then this window pops up: Provisioning Failure: Installation of a provisioning package failed. Please work with the package author to diagnose the problem. Reported error code: 0x80070057.

I also tried installing Windows updates and it seems to be stuck. I get this: "There were problems installing some updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: • Security Update for Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3087040) - Error 0x80004005"

I did read something about possibly needing to change a registry but it didn't give instructions on how to do so. Is this because Win10 was released prematurely and we're needing to fix the bugs or because something is wrong with my new computer?

I appreciate your time spent trying to help me.

Navigate to Windows\System32\SoftwareDistribution\Downloads

and delete everything from there... restart, try again.
