Hi All.

Got my new Rig running heres the spec:

AMD Phonem II x4 955 @ Stock 3.2ghz
Asus M4A79T Deluxe
Gskill 4gbs (2x2gb) DDR3 1600 ram
Sapphire 4870
Corsair 650tx PSU
Cooler Master V8 HSF
CM690 with 3 extra 140mm fans.

Now when booting into Vista 64 Home Premium, its really moody, it takes ages (like the computer in my sig was way faster) and sometimes just hangs and I have to reset....???

Any ideas of what it could be?

Ive done MOBO drivers, and Ati drivers...
Ive done all Windows updates etc (well at least I think I have)

The only thing I can think of is my HDD?? Its my old one (which isnt that old) but it goes pretty hard the whole time during the initial loading of Vista while my CPU usage is like 11% max during this time.

mine was like that when i 1st built it. bios 1103 should fix the slow boot and other issues :D and make sure you update chipset and all other drivers goodluck

Lol No and No... Its all stock at the moment..

How do I do timings? Never done anything like that before..? Im sure I can figure out the cool n quiet thing.

Yeah I went there and downloaded the Chipset drive.. but when I go to install its Catalyst? Isnt that graphics? I already have the latest driver for my card...

Oh no s*** lol. I was just like "CANCEL" cause I didnt want to change my graphics driver lol.

Ok will do that tonight...

I looked online for a Memory Timing Tutorial which said to go into BIOS and change:

CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS to match you RAM timings.

And after much searching I found that CAS = TCL on my motherboard...

So ill do that tonight also.

Hopefully this sorts this out.. lol now just to get my DVD drive working again lol.
