New Computer Purchase...

Hello.

I am a freshman in high school and do some video editing.

Being in high school, I have a very low budget to find a descent computer. We're talking $400 or less.

I would run Sony Vegas Platinum on it.

Right now I have a terrible computer:

1.5 GB RAM, 40 GB Hard Drive, Single Core Processor

I am looking to upgrade.
I have two that I have found refurbished at Best Buy.

Asus with 6 GB RAM, Dual Core Processor, 1 TB Hard Drive, but an integrated graphics card.

Hp with 6 GB RAM, Quad Core Processor, 640 GB Hard Drive, but again an integrated graphics card.

Would either or those computers work. If so, how easy would it be to buy a separate graphics card and plug it in.

If these wouldn't work, any hope of finding a computer for this price range?

what is the onboard gpu? some of the newer ones are somewhat ok.

You can always spend $30 - 50 and adding a low end video card on it.

as easy as putting in a new card (physically into a slot, which takes a minute) and changing drivers (another two or three minutes).
