Ordered this in June and it should be here sometime this week. I really needed a new computer badly, here are the specs.

Intel Core2 Duo processor E6600 (2.4GHz,1066FSB) w/Dual Core Technology and 4MB cache
2GB DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz
256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GTS
250GB Serial ATA Hard Drive (7200RPM) w/ DataBurst
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, English
48X Combo and 16X DVD+/-RW
Roxio Creator Basic
Integrated Audio
MS WORKS 8.5
1 Year Limited Warranty
Motherboard 7-slot BTX
750-watt Power Supply
Copper Heat Sink
Two 120mm x 38mm front fans

And I just bought 2 more 1 GB sticks for a total of 4GB ram. Anything else I should look at investing in for this BEAST? Can you tell me if this machine is as good as they say it is?

That's included also but I didn't list it as they were stock with the system and i'm probably going to look to find some really cool ones haha.

how much can you spend? its a really good computer but it could've been cheaper if you built it yourself. another thing is i just hate dells (bias alert) the video card is DX10, but its not overly powerful and by the time DX10 games come out it wont have the power to handle them anyways. selling that card and investing in an 8800GTS would be a novel idea

it didnt say what os but im assuming it is vista 32bit. you're gonna run into problems with 4gb memory.

I hate to kick you while you're up...But chances are you paid wayyyy too much on a system that you could've built by yourself with better specs for much much cheaper...But if you seriously have money to blow, get an 8900 when it comes out.

I paid just short of 2K$ for this.

What is the 8900 a processor?

Yes vista 32 bit. And problems with 4GB ram?.. I heard it will only read 3.2 something and i'm okay with that.

You paid too much for it you could have built it for around $1500.

The 8900 is a new videocard that is coming out.

Yes it will only read around 3.25 gigs.
