Hello everyone, I am building a new computer and i need some help. This is what i am thinking of getting:

Power Up Black ATX Mid-Tower Case with Front USB and Audio Ports and Touch-Sensitive Controls --$39.99

Ultra 1024MB PC4200 DDR2 533MHz Memory -- $94.99

Ultra / X-Finity / 500-Watt / ATX / 120mm Fan / SATA-Ready / SLI-Ready / Titanium / Power Supply -- $69.99

Asus A8N SLI Deluxe NVIDIA Socket 939 Motherboard / Audio / PCI Express / SLI Ready / Dual Gigabit LAN / USB 2.0 & Firewire / Serial ATA / Dual RAID -- $119.99

Western Digital Caviar SE WD1600JS 160GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM -- $54.99

XFX PV-T71G-UDF7 Geforce 7900GT 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card -- $229.99

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Manchester 2.2GHz Socket 939 Dual Core Processor Model ADA4200BVBOX -- $189.00

I came up with this combo for about $840 after rebates. I plan to get another vcard somewhere down the road for Sli mode. MY question is do i really need an Sli power supply for the $80 or could i save the $20 and go with a regular psu? Also i want to get a dvd/cd Burner. I was wondering if i need to get a sata one since everything else is gonna be sata? Or what else would be a good choice?
Please let me know what you guys think about my combo and questions. Any advice is great or if you know something better that i could get. I don't plan on spending any more money besides for the Burner.

Your RAM is not compatible with your motherboard or CPU. ANd always get the better of the two PSUs. COuld you give us links to these parts?

The RAM you've selected is DDR2, whereas your board will only support DDR. You do not need a SATA burner, IDE is fine.

Have you considered a Core 2 Duo based build?

I would recommend getting the better PSU now. At least 550W Serial ATA should not be necessary for the DVD burner.

Is a Core Duo gonna be a better build than the Am2? What about for future upgrades? I don't really have a whole lot of monney to spend now so i am keeping in mind how upgradable it will be.

This is the Am2 build i was thinking of:
