I have a dfi lanparty ut nf4 sli mobo, 160 gb hd, CORSAIR 1GB, 550W Psu, Cpu FX60 Toledo.

Ok, so when I turn on my new computer, with the windows cd inside of the cd drive (which is hooked up right). It just keeps on going through all of the screens, then it "trys" to load up the os. But I havent istalled it yet. So it reboots. And repeates that process all over again. Now I have my cd drive as my master drive, it and my hd are hooked up right, I have a brand new windows cd, and I have the bios set up so when it starts up it runs the cd drive first (which it should start to run windows but it doesnt).

SO, I have tried everything I know to do and nothing has worked. I have double even tripple checked everything. And when all hope was lost. I decided to come here.

So if anyone can help me please do!

sounds lke the hd is not being detected. is it an ide or a sata? double check the jumper and make sure the cable is in the right way.

Can your bios see the HDD? What about the CD/DVD drive? Make sure they are both able to be detected. Also I would try reseting the bios and/or cmos by useing the jumper(of the board has it) or poping the battery.

Did you just buy a regular Windows Cd cause i think theres 2 types 1 kind for systems without windows and one for upgrading from a older windows unless you didn't build this yourself, not sure but yeah.

I found the problem. Apparently my motherboard didn't like my corsair in the yellow slots (pretty sure ddr 300). So I put it in the ddr 400 slot and its all working just fine.

I am actually using it right now.
