Got an quote for a PC with these specs for $1200, wondering if thats a good price or not?

You said it could be built for a little over half, why pay only $200 less when I have the peace of mind to have it from a store with a 3 year warranty?

My computer in my sig, only you can probably get a Core 2 w/Core 2 motherboard and a better graphics card by now (I built a year ago). Wait for the April 22 price break. That should cost you around 1000

It depends what you want it for. Are you a gamer looking for the best graphics card for the money, or an average user who would want the best processor so the computer wouldn't be outdated as soon?

yes,a little extravagance...cause i am also building a computer.i only bought a XFX GeForce 8800GTS 320MB from www.ibuildcomputer.com last week.but i think it was right to buy a cheap one, after all, it is used in family and not office....

I agree with building it yourself I learned that when I bought my dell XPS it cost me $2000 when Now i can build for like $1000. BUT the cooling system is good and well built
