Is there a reason you picked a server motherboard?

Also wait untill the 22nd and for not much more you can get the Q6600 or save alot on the E6600.

Do you have an OS, HDD, PSU?

I already have the PSU, OS, and HDD. I just pick the server mobo because newegg it is part of a combo deal with the processor. Would you recommend not getting the server mobo, and going with another one?

Of course, don't get that mother board, and wait till july 22 when you can get more for your money (new intel processors and price drops in some models).

My choices would be

Asus extreme

GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3R

EVGA 122-CK-NF68-A1

ASUS P5N32-E SLI

Edit:

G.Skill ram should be fine just don't expect to overclock it, if that isn't a problem go for it

Is the order in which you listed the mobos your order of preference?

The asus extream will allow you to sli 3 video cards as apposed to the average "2" card sli ;)

If you dont plan on going sli that DS3R he listed is a excellent motherboard

Is random but yea if i had teh cash i would go with the asus extreme, if i was in a budget i would go for the gigabyte P35

Well so far im set on everything else but the processor and mobo. Im planning on waiting until after July 22 to purchase a processor and I might get a Q6600 if its not too expensive. But, the mobo is the hardest part. So many options  Though I leaning towards the DS3R since I plan on sli 2 video cards.

The DS3R dont support SLI

This is cheaper than the asus extream and supports sli at full x16 speeds

The Ai is better than it's little bro TR, the msi one should be fine thou, i probably would incline to the msi since it has FSB 1333/1066 which means it can support the current C2D/C2Q and the future C2D with 1333 FSB
