New Copmuter

A bit better, (hahha pun), also the scost for sata isnt that much more than IDE. I would go for it unless you abseloutly cant afford it. Also try to get 8 mb cache hard drive, unless you are building a super ultra budget computer.

that is a pretty good set up....be sure to check out tigerdirect.com to see if they have anything better.

Looks okay, It might seem like your CPU might bottle neck it a little but it is a celeron. All and all as long as your not really doing any gaming it should be a good lowend system. :)

No! No! No! Not a celeron! I would go with one of AMD's lower-level chips. You will notice a MUCH bigger performance increse.

ya, i second that. get an XP

An XP??

This is not a S478 Celeron @ 400MHz 128KB L2 which I have a hunch you've thinking of.

This is a Celeron D 330J Prescott @ 533MHz 256KB L2 LGA 775 (with SSE2 & 3 support).

this is just for multi-tasking, i.e., Videos, Music, Pictures, Internet, Email.

That CPU will suit you perfectly fine.
