Hey guys

I'm building a new gaming pc in an antec micro LT, and decided to go AMD.

I'm wondering, is it worth the performance difference to go with a 9850 instead of the 9750 or 8750?

well like i said, i just want to build something that will play gears of war mostly, and i don't need the fastest, most expensive processor out there, so I chose the phenom

Are you looking for upgrade or new build?
If you are upgrade, make sure your motherboard support Phenom as some of that are 125W, your motherboard may not support it.
If you go for new build, Intel is better choice.

the 9850 is the black edition.that means you can just overclock it by raising the multipler. 9750 is just a set under the 9850 but the multiplyer is locked.harder to overclock..the 8750 is the highest clocked tri core phenom (Quad with one core turned off ) pretty much...if your an overclocker get the black 9850 if not go with one of the other two....i wouldnt mind trying a tricore myself
