hi guys, i'm ready to build my new gaming computer and i was wondering what everyones thoughts were on this build before i go ahead with it.

i was thinking about getting a SSD instead of a HDD though i dont really know enough about the SSD .

and like i'm not sure on that motherboard. i like the networking and the audio chips on it but not the price

also not sure if i need that much power.

I'm no expert but off the top of my head those prices are INSANE (in the bad way).

HAF X = ~$190 on Newegg
i7 960 = ~$290 on Newegg
GTX 570 = ~$350 on Newegg

Those are just the things I can think of on the spot but that's already over $200 that you are overspending by using this mwave.com website.

There is no reason why you should get 4GB of PC3 17066 RAM. Big waste of money. Get 8GB of something running at 1600MHz. It is better to get an SSD to complement an HDD. HDD can be used for storage and SSD as boot drive.

Are you using any of these motherboard features? I see one GPU in your build. Do you plan on getting another two 570's to utilize the 3-Way SLI?

Get Sandy Bridge, P8P67, i5-2500(K) (if overclock), GTX570, 8GB of 1600MHz dual channel RAM. If you're going X58 (i7-9**) then you'll need triple channel RAM (sets of three). Is there any reason why you need a full tower? Agree with the SSD. Vertex 2 is probably your best bet. 60-120GB will be fine for you to load Windows and all your favourite programs. As the storage drive, get a Samsung SpinPoint F3

Rofl, my bad. Well, those prices suck regardless...Nevertheless, my point with the RAM/MOBO still stands. Go with the suggestions fastdude gave, its solid advice.
