New Dell Latitude e650 help

I just got the above work computer to replace my old dell latitude d620.
Running windows 7 Professional 4GB of ram.

For some reason I feel like the internet lags, I am using wireless at home and the signal is fine, my old dell seems to be faster for some reason.

if I am just getting on the internet it can take 6-8 seconds to load google.?

any ideas ?
 
Got any toolbars installed or anti-virus running? That may lag it down by a few seconds.
