New Desktop

Ello ello hows everyone doing on this fine november morning? Lately I've been thinking about saving up some money to buy a decent desktop the one i have now is alright but its fairly outdated and I'd like to get a new one capable of some new generation gaming. I don't keep up with the new processors and video cards and whatnot so I was hoping you guys could help me develop a build or give me a link to a desktop you can order online or somesuch. I'd like to keep it in the range of $1000-1500 if possible. Thanks in advance

thanks for the specs sorry i realize i was pretty vague in my post ive kinda been reading up on the 101s on this forum trying to better educate myself of the workings of a computer and I'll definately look into some of those components I was sort of thinking I'd get an AMD processor but Ill look into the Intel one as well

thanks oscar i think ill probably go with your suggestions tho i might get a better HDD possibly a P35 too depending on my paycheques in the coming weeks:P

It will work. Also I noticed there is a place on the lower front of the case you can add an after market fan, it looks like it will take a 120mm fan, so I would add that.

I like the look of the leather, but I hate the door. My system had a door on it, I ended up taking it off. It was always in the way, since I am always plugging things in the front ports or loading cd's. So the door was open more than it was closed.

Plus that power supply that comes with the case is probably worthless. So you would end up buying a new one anyways.

alright so after browsing newegg a bit i found this case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811226013 and i did like the case oscar suggested but i like this one more and its kinda stupid that it has an 80mm fan and a 120 mm fan (should just have 2 120mm) but would this case work alright with the system oscar suggested?

It would work, but the case is pretty bad. The Antec 900 has an 200/250mm fan on top and 2 front fans with more in the case... The cooling on that case is pretty bad... and the manufacturer is unheard of... I would not recommend it though.

sorry one quick question does newegg ship to canada? or is it just a U.S site? and also if it doesnt ship to Canada what's a good respectable website like Newegg that does ship to Canada??

man this kinda sucks i wish newegg shipped to canada the other websites are all noticeably more expensive :( i wonder if it'd be any less expensive to go to a computer shop...
