new drivers = less heat???

Can this be possible?
I installed the beta drivers for my card and when I went to play games, I was stuned to find that my temps were cooler than before...... Could it be the new drivers? The thermal paste finally wearing in? None the less, a NV Silencer rev 5 is coming in the mail as we speak. :D

Thats very odd. It could be drivers that are more efficient maybe? Who knows. And i dont think thermal paste wears in. Thats awesome though!
 
I guess it's possible, but whether that means it's more efficient or it makes for crappier fps is yet to be seen
