I installed a TSSTcorp TS-H663B DVD drive in my computer and it does not work. Computer sees it when booting and in device manager. I put disc in and the light comes on like it is going to read it but nothing happens. I go to my computer and the drive isn't listed. Any suggestions? I am running XP Professional.

Is this an IDE cdrom drive? If so, then its needs to be jumpered correctly in order for it to work right. Does it use the wide flat ribbon data cable? Do you have any other drives on the same ribbon? If not, set the jumper to master and put it on the end connector of the cable.

Ok. Whenever, bios and device manager detects it but its not listed in "my computer" its usually the filters issue but the fix it file should have fixed it for you. So for future reference, thats what you need to do in order to get it to reappear.
