New emachine-Windows 7-create a back up CD?

Just bought this and i'm still working out the bugs. The emachine does not come with a back up CD in case you need to wipe the HD and reinstall Windows 7 Home Premium. Is it fairly easy to make your own? If so what type of CD do you use? CD-R or DVD,etc.? I found a few videos on you tube but want to make sure I use the correct CD/DVD. Thanks!

There should be an item in programs to create as many DVDs as you need. Microsoft requires all new PCs sold to be able to make a recovery disc or set of discs. It's rare that a PC includes them now.

I had an old emachines with a set of recovery discs provided. My mom's Toshiba laptop from 2009 had a program to create the set of DVD recovery discs.

Well, if you use CD's, you'll be using a lot. You should go with DVD's. + or - honestly doesn't matter. Be sure to make the back up as soon as possible, the more you mess around with it first, the better chance you'll mess up a setting or something and then that'll record onto the back up.
