New Gaming Comp

Hello,

This is my first post on the forum so I hope I am not posting this in the wrong section. Anyway, I am building a gaming computer and I am looking for some input. I took a picture of my parts list to give you an idea what I have picked out so far. I was wondering what all of you thought about it. The price is around 1500 which I can afford, but if you think it is too much for a casual gamer let me know.

Edit: Forgot to add the quantities. Two of the video cards, which will be linked with a SLI cable, and 16GB of ram.

Ditch the 2700k and get a 3570k.

Get a better power supply. 750w is enough for two cards. Get it from a good brand like corsair, antec, silverstone, seasonic, PC power and cooling, NZXT, or xfx.

Get a single kit of 4x4GB of RAM.

Get a Z77 chipset motherboard. Newest and latest.

And finally, use the money saved from the CPU and get a better video card. For the price of two 560s, I'd go with a single 670.

What is your reasoning behind switching the two 560s for a single 670? Wouldn't linking two 560s be more powerful than having a singe 670? Sorry I'm kind of new to computer building.

Yeah, two 560s would be around the performance of a 580, and the 670 beats a 580. Then in the future, you can add another 670 for some insane performance.

Trade the crappy kingwin for a Corsair ax1200(if it fits the case) or a Silverstone Strider if you're planning on sli with the 2 gtx560's(you will have plenty of room power-wise even after). They are one generation behind so they won't be as fast as 670's, but that doesn't mean they are a slow card by any means. Just cheaper and not as fast as the newer stuff.

I'd always recommend one 'big' card over two 'smaller' ones, because in the future he can throw in another 670 if he wants, and a single 670 should be faster than two 560s anyway.

The Galaxy cards should be fine, you may have to try and order the card from another website if Newegg don't have enough 670s. Newegg always run out of stock very quickly after new hardware has been released, it's kind of annoying.
