New gaming computer, which one????

Hi, I plan on buying a new gaming computer and right now have two choices, I need help deciding which one to take... and since I don't know much about computers, I have some questions as well.

The computer I currently own is:
AMD Athlon XP 2400+
1gb ram
ATI Radeon x700 512 ram

As you could have guessed, I can't run many of the more modern games properly (ie fps higher than 10 on some cases) in this system like Oblivion, Medieval 2, Supreme Commander, and many, many more...

Anyways these are the two systems I am looking at:

Now, on with my questions...

1) The second one seems to be better than the first one, however, it has lower costumer ratings (2.5 for the second one and 5 for the first one, out of 5 of course). Anyone has any idea as to why this is???? ie Which one would you go for?

2) Will either system be able to run games like Oblivion, Medieval 2, Supreme Commander on high settings and with fps higher than 30 at high settings?

3) Will either system be able to run any of the more modern games that are coming out??? (ie Bioshock, UT2007, Gears of War, Fallout 3, and so on)

4) Is the video card from either system better than my Radeon x700? What is their equivalent Radeon card? I know nothing about nVidia...

Thanks for any replies.

Well, I've heard alot of bad stuff from the 8500, so if you want you can upgrade to a 8600 GS for about 80 more. Also, the second build will be much better if you have the money, but you could drop the ultimate and just get home premium, it's your choice though.

I would go for the second mainly because of the 8800, not sure wht it got a lower costumer rating though.

Yes, even with a 3800 + and a 6300 GS gfx card, my old computer can run all of those very well.

Yes.

All I know is about nvidia, so I can't help you there.

I would go with the second one because of the better graphics card, the first computer may struggle with some games because of its weak GFX card.

i'd get the 2nd one since is only 300 difference. dont let reviews and ratings stop you from buying.

I'd get the first one and just swap the graphic card for a 8800gts anyway or try to tell them to put the 8800gts instead of the 8400

I just have one more question, will this computer (the second one) be compatible with The Elder Scrolls Morrrowind?

Thanks
