New gaming desktop help

Can someone tell if if this desktop can handle the newest and most graphic intensive games? It looks like you can buy the GPU on newegg for 50 bucks.. and I can't imagine a GPU that cheap would be able to play new games..

Asus M51AC

CPU: 3.4Ghz Intel Core i7-4770
RAM: 16GB DDR3
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 620
HDD: 1TB 7200RPM

Thanks for the help in advance

Everything but the GPU there will work fine.. also 16GB of RAM is also a little much unless you're editing on top of gaming.

For best performance I recommend a Radeon 7870 GHz edition/79xx series or a GeForce GTX 760/770...

The GeForce cards are also a +1 for editing.. Radeon +1 for mining..

just build your own

I guess that's what I should be asking.. Dan, are you building your own computer?

If so here's a build I just put together to help influence you on Intel: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2TuEx
The i5-4670k is a hot item right now and costs less than the i7...

The rest of the items are well trusted/rated highly. They will also do some pretty decent gaming compared to that GT 620.
