My roomie needed a new laptop and was like....'I want it fast and to be able to play games really good, but I only have like 2000.00 bucks for a good one'...

So...hehehehe...I said..'''well I'll see what I can dig up'....

and this is what I got her...

she nearly had a heart attack because she was close to getting some random hp laptop at bestbuy for like $1699.99..:rolleyes:

ASUS makes the most intense, crazy gaming machines...ALMOST wish I had traded my new acer 18"...blah///i hate computers..:)

Holy sounds pretty sweet for a lappy. I didn't know they made ddr3 for a lappy. shes going to be stylin! I know I'd date her....just for her computer lol:D
 
There's plenty of laptops that use DDR3 ram, but wow that's a powerful gaming laptop! But its also going to be a beast to carry around.
 
It's alright, seems a bit pricey though. As long as you aren't wanting to play new games on high settings then the 9800GS would be fine.

I got 9179 in 3DMark06 on my $1,399 Best Buy laptop, lol.

She plays like sims2 and fable---but GRID does play well.

she got 8---something on 3dmark.

She works in an investment firm and has a need for speed...and it is quick..

I couldn't get same score for some reason but 8395 is pretty decent! Anyone know why it doesn't show the 9800 gpu? only says generic gpu.

Check out the respectable overclock for a laptop-->2.53ghz --->2.765ghz
