Hi guys,
Im planning to build a new system at the moment
Heres the spec:

CPU - Intel Qx9770
Mobo - nVidia 790i Ultra SLI
GPU - 2 x 9800 GX2
PSU - OCZtech 1000w
RAM - 8GB DDR3 1333

I have only listed the main components for the question.

Basically since i have been planning this the Intel core i7 has come out, so i started having a look at it and i realised i have to change my mobo, but i dont want to have to take away any of my graphics cards as i want to run SLI.
I havent been able to find any Mobo with LGA 1366 and quad sli.

Any recommendations?
And when running two of these GPU's do you have to have quad SLI or dual SLI?

Thanks

For the price you are going to pay for the 790i Ultra and that processor....there are far better options right now.

Buy the new ASUS Rampage II Extreme LGA 1366 motherboard and an Intel Core i7 920 Nehalem....you will save yourself about $500.

Also...with a pair of 9800GX2 will have awesome gaming capabilities but there are better options. The 9800 GX2 is a fading technology, the companies don't even make them anymore. All companies (eVGA, BFG, XFX and others) have all "stepped up" these cards and sent the buyers the 2xx series cards. I have several friends who had this card and all of them have stepped up. I think you would be better off with a pair of 2xx series cards.
