New gaming PC - i suck at this

Hey guys, I'm looking to buy a new Gaming PC.

I have no real preferences on brands or anything like that, I really don't know much about computer parts (I know what they do, but I don't know much about brands/prices/which are best/worst).

I would like it in the $1,000 range. I can go over a few hundred or below a few hundred.

My current PC is:

3GB RAM
GeForce 9800 GT
i3 (don't remember the stats on it).
I don't remember my motherboard.

If you want, you can just post parts (I have someone who can put parts together, so if that's cheaper/better than that's cool), or whole PC kits, whatever is the best deal/runs best.

I very much appreciate your guy's help, I have no clue what I'm doing so I am very thankful for the help.

Good build.

Some changes.
You can save some money and go with http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103808
Not much of a difference.

Then if you want to cut some costs I would suggest going with a 550W PSU.
Like this $49 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207013

Since you are getting a BE CPU I would recommend getting an aftermarket HSF and overclocking it.
This is a good deal $32 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181011

Here are some recommendations for the Case.

or the
Cooler Master HAF922

Nice, thanks for the fast response guys, is appreciated.

Now, will that build allow good performance for current and near future games? I'm looking at you, Guild Wars 2/Skyrim/The Witcher 2. I'd like to max these games, and I'm willing to go up a few hundred dollars if it requires it.

Yup, it should handle those like a champ. Very similar to my future build, but I'm eyeing the new AMD processors coming out in a few months.
