hello everyone, new here, and Im a HUGE gamer but quite new to pc gaming. I have a friend in the midst of building my computer for me and I told him it needs to be good for gaming, so this is whats going in it, any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thank you

AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition quad core (3.2ghz x4)
Gigabyte MA770T-UD3P motherboard
4gb Mushkin PC3-12800 DDR3 dual channel gaming memory (1600mhz)
aTi Radeon 4870 1gb graphics card
Western Digital Caviar Black 1tb (1000gb) dual proc hard drive (sata, 7200rpm)
LG Super-Multi DVD Burner w/ Lightscribe
Coolermaster Extreme Power Supply
Arctic Cooling CPU cooler

once again thanks for any info or feedback you guys can give me.

sorry about that NZXT Alpha is the case with windows vista home premium and the optical drive is in the first post. thank you

Looks like a really good build although for the money you could have gotten an i5. No worry's though it will crush most games with ease. The only thing I would have changed is the CPU cooler. Oh and by the way your memory is only going to read at 1333MHz because AM3 motherboards can't support any higher then that unless you overclock.

thank you very much guys for the quick response, now also do you have a suggestion or link do a different graphics card that i could replace in a few months if i wanted to? or is there something MUCH better?
