New gaming rig--NEED HELP SELECTING PARTS

I am trying to build a new gaming rig, but do not know how to get the best performance for my dollar. With a budget of about $2000, I would like the system to use an inexpensive graphics card, like <$250, and no extra cooling. I will be upgrading to DX10 when it comes out and will wait to see my temperatures before buying cooling (I may go with a large water cooling setup so please make sure the case is big enough). This system will be used for gaming/school projects so must be fast and stable, but I will OC. This budget is only for the box only, since i have already picked out the other pieces. I would like to go dual-core AM2, 2gb RAM, single GPU, and under $100 spent on HDD. Thanks in advance for your help.

I would go with this motherboard:

I would go with these DVD burners:

And I also recommend this video card:

You could put 2 of those in SLI if you wanted to spend the extra cash. Everything else looks pretty good. Your going to have a hell of a system.
I dont thing that the monitor is worth almost $700 though.

will switch to the dvd. does the asus support the corsair ram? on the corsair site it claims to support it, but on the asus site it does not? can i still go with the corsair or should i switch to one on that asus says? will not goint with the suggested ram on the asus site limit overclocking potential? would the two 7600 have better performance than the single 7900gt ko? i like really good picture quality...i am used to the 1080i we have on our 60" :)
