New Gaming Rig/Workstation

So I could possibly just put something together by myself but I would like to see what option others would look at when build a new pc.

I want a gaming rig but that I can have VM with other OS running. Basically I'm a network admin and I like to test and work on this different OS's at the same time! As well I like playing games on the PC.

Budget is 800$, would prefer AMD over Intel and not scared of OCing!

Do you want the entire PC in 800 or only the tower.And also do you want the OS or not.
 
 
 
I think the 955 with the 6950 is the best option
The 1090T is not needed for VMware, BTW he also does ot need a high end GPU.

he would need a powerful processor.Since from what I have read VMware supports multiple cores

mihir, I like your choice of parts... just being curious but if an extra 200$ would be thrown in what would you change to make your system you posted up better? Might be able to have a 1000$ to spend on a rig!

Case is pretty much up to me but still a decent one none the less...

As for high end CPU, VMware does support multicore and I would like to take full advantage of that!

You can upgrade your GPU for the extra 200 and also your case and also your HDD(if you want to)

You can go for an HD6950 and also for the CM HAF932 case.That would be extra $150 and with the left over $50.

Well I run VMware using P4 2.4 Ghz 1core/1thread and works fine.
I also use my laptop 720QM 1.6 Ghz 4 cores/8threads. both have comparatively same performance.
