New geforce 9 series coming?

Realy needing some help. I plan on upgrading my computer soon, realy soon. But i keep runing into this problem with geting a new video card. I want to get the geforce 8800 640mg. But i keep hearing that a new geforce 9 series is coming out in november. Is this true? Because i rather hold of geting my pc till then but seems to be a rumer now. Could it be a newer geforce 8800 thats coming out in november?

Im looking online and wanted to see how well the 8800 will play the dx10 games like crysis. Im told that 8800 will not run it well with it on high graphics. Is that true? I realy want to get this 8800 but right now i dont want to run somthing that cannto play 2008(dx10) games, forcing me to buy a new card(newer geforce 8series card or new geforce 9 series card, if its even is coming out in november)

So any help WOULD be great!!! thx for the help.
 
Tough one, also depends on your budget. When the 9 Series comes out the 8 Series will drop in price by quite a bit. But if money isn't an issue I personally would wait till november for the cards to come out and by that time people will start posting up Specs, Benchmarks & Prices.
 
I believe people have gotten the 9 series confused with the G92. The G92 (aka 8800GT), isn't going to be the top of the line card, however it does outperform the 8800GTS and 2900XT, and will be priced around $250.

I think it is a top of the line card if it's just under the GTX, which is the top of the line card, other than the ultra, which is just an OC'ed GTX, so I think it is a top of the line card...

What I meant was it's not going to be the best card out, since the 8800GTX and Ultra still outperform it.
 
Right, I'm with you now, just thought you meant it wouldn't be top of the line as in good, because I'm sure it will be :P
