New GPU card?

im wondering if i should get a new VideoCard. i've been useing a Radeon 9600 Pro (Sapphire) for a few years,: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102407R
i know its a "lil" outdated, but i havnt worred or had problems with it and i use my laptop mostly, (see my sig) but id like to get a lil more performance out of it. i not have 1 gig of corsair platinum series ram, so i'll plan on getting another soon.

so if ya have any suggestions on a good but not bankBreaking 8x agp card pls let me know.id like to go nvidia if possible BTW.

and id like to keep it between 130-155. thanks for input.
 
I would opt for the 7600GT, it wouldn't hurt your hip pocket and its really powerful. The 9600 pro is ANCIENT, I have a 9600XT and it can't keep up with old games such as Doom 3 and Half Life 2
 
thanks for the info, that card is about 20-30 over my ideal price, but hey... i can always wait a little longer before diving in :D
 
Yeah, I just bought a 7600GT myself about a month or so ago and have been very pleased with the results over my old 6600GT. (My old card also only had 128MB, much much nicer... :D)
