New Graphics card? Help please!

I've never replaced anything in a computer. I think I've did enough reading to know that you unplug it, take it out and put the new one in.

My monitor is a ViewSonic and it kept flickering black so I figured it was the graphics card. My friend gave me a Palit GTS 450 - which is better than my Sapphire Radeon 4870 1gb I think; I want to put that in my computer. So I don't have to use DVI.

There are some blue clip things in the way though... I don't know how to properly move them. I have an ASUS PQ5 Deluxe mother board and an intel core 2 Q9450 @ 2.66 GHz (prob don't need to know that)

Any help on doing all of this? I just want to replace the graphics card. That's all. Thanks!

The blue clips,Press down slightly on the place i put the ring, then push up on the on part with the arrow (in the direction the arrow is going)..it should then release.

once you have replaced the card, just push the clip back down from the back of the case,it should then sit on top of the card again then press it down (where the arrow is) to click in.

Oh my goodness, thank you sooo much for that! I feel like an idiot now! For me, it's an impossible quiz... for you, you're laughing at me with your genius ways yelling newb! lol

Thanks for you help!

While you're in there it wouldn't be a bad idea to get an air compressor or a can of compressed air and blast out all the dust. It raises your component temperature and can even bog down performance if it gets really bad.
