New Graphics Card Makes Everything Green? Pics Aswell

Hi,

I bought a new graphics card because my old one was busted!
So I replaced the card in the machine, and everything looked ok, started up the computer and everything appeared like the first image below, with a sort of green haze over it, so I decided it must be waiting on the drivers - so I installed the new drivers for the graphics card and no change.

The second picture below is something odd that I noticed, could this be the problem?

Here Are the pics, if you have any ideas let me know:

If you can, try the monitor on a different computer. I had one that was starting to die and everything was blue.

naw thats not the problem it happens all the time with my old crt monitors the problem is most likey the vga cord has a short in it. try wiggling the cord while the computer's on, that usually helps. (its kinda like playing with shorting head-phones...)

Try another cable and see, if not i would guess there is something wrong with the card.

Oh, and that strip on the card you pointed out that appears to be broken, thats normal.

Since you've tried a different monitor and different cable, yes I would now say it's most likely the card.

something you might try would be to put some conductive solder or somethin to that broken lead, maybe the connection is broken?
