Looking for a good video card. Better than the one i currently have (listed in my sig). the current card works well with all of my games except AOE 3. Which in the main screen the fountains and smoke are blocky. I need something to play Age of empires 3, and 2 new games i got, Titan quest which i hear has demanding graphics and rise and fall:civ at war. im on a budget although im not exactly sure what it is yet. I need help finding the best card to play these games for my money. Prefer a pci express and nvidia geforce. but ill take others if i need to. Thanks.

Ok...found my budget im trying to stay between 100 and 150 but ill take lower than that if it can be found.

1st of all, your graphics card is not in your sig ;)

for 150 bucks, you can get the 7600gt, which is a very nice budget card. However, you'll probably need to get a better PSU.

Sorry bout that...now its in my sig. Can anyone think of anything a little closer to the $100 side of the range...and preferable not having to change my psu

Get the cheapest one out of those, since they all have the same clock speed. THe open box one is just the card itself, with none of the cables, CD's and stuff.

Not all Open Box's are like that. My video card was an Open Box and it came with all retail packaging, cables, software, and documentation. But the price difference was much greater ($100+).

Since it's not much more for the retail version, I would go with that.

oo i see, my bad

I got my X700 in an open box deal, only paid $120 CDN (reg $200), and it came with everything, even HD Component hookups and a DVI-VGA converter.

Its the OEM products that come with the product and barely anything else, Open Box is basically a nice word for refurbished.
