I'd done some reserach back a month or so ago. And 3 gsu that show me quality and some serious kick are the ATi Radeon HD 4870, ATi Radeon 4870X2 & the The Sapphire 5870 Vapor-X GPU.

I've got a 1GB ATi Radeon HD 4870 right now. So wondering if adding the same card would be better then going with the two gpu's in the single card. I'm sure that temperture would get a lot faster and higher then having two seperate. And then the new beauty, with some kind of cooling sytem in it.

Need some advice. I'm not worried about money. I'm worried about efficiency & temperture, resulting other modifications, reviews & gaming life.

the 5870 is a lot more energy efficient and stays very cool. i would recommend that one since it also has eyefinity and dx11. plus the hd 5870 can handle just about any game at max settings right now. plus then you could always add another hd 5870 and crossfire those.

K now were talking money here. Ha maybe another 500 dollars out of my pockets if I wanted to go in crossfire
 
I would go with Ati Radeon 5870 Vapor-X but good luck finding one. The Cypress XT is easy to find but the Vapor-X it's really hard. Even if you find one it will be probably more expensive than the price it's supposed to be. Also if you get it you get the DirectX 11 which will be good for future games ( if you are a gamer). 4870 is not bad at all in crossfire. Also depends on your budget too.

Don't both of the signle gpu and duel gpu run in crossfire ? As for the single 4870, I mean by adding another one into crossfire. Money not a factor, I've got about 10,000 saved for school/car/computer

It should work but if the money are really not a factor and you want to have the best just get the 5870. It has the DirectX 11 like i mentioned above and also all future games are going to use DirectX 11. The 4870's use Direct 10 which in future will be old, more games will be going to DirectX 11. At least that's my opinion.
 
DX11 is going to get used moreso than Dx10 from this day foward. it's worth investing in the latest tech.
