New Gtx 295 Squeeks and squeels

When underload benching and gaming it squeks and squels like no other but fps and heat are fine. Somethings wrong right?

try stopping the fan for a couple of seconds and see if its that whats making the noise, like dark said it may just need a bit of oil, but use the right oil and dont get any on the PCB. if its not the fan, id contact evga.

It could be an electrical squeal, in which case there's really nothing you can do about it besides RMAing the card.

And the next card he gets will probably do it too. It's an issue with the Caps on the card. Others with same problem here You might be lucky and if you rma this card the next might not squeal. But I have seen on alot of forums with others posting about this problem with the 280 285 and 295.

My 285 squeals a bit. The best idea I can come up with is that it's changing clocks or something. The other forum I go to, which is a graphics forum, people have said their 285/295s squeal and they RMAd them, just to get another card that did the same thing. I'm pretty sure its the nature of the beast.

Yeah, mine do it sometimes. PSU's can do it too, it's normal.

Mines completely obnioxious (spelled wrong) Like its so loud I cant even here the fans. My question is though do I rma through newegg and hope I get one that doesnt or pay for evga to rma so that the card gets tested.

If it's THAT loud I would RMA it.

Oh it is Im rmaing it for sure. Its honestly louder than the fan on 100% I just dont know whether to test my luck or pay.

if you pay for evga to rma then theyre just gonna send it back. all the GTX200 series squeals. its electrical noise and it should be fixed with drivers sometime in the future. if yours is really as loud as you say you should rma it to newegg and the next one wont squeal as loud.
