New hardware, now my computer keeps freezing

Hey guys, new to the forum. I joined here because i cannot find out what the problem is.

2 weeks ago i bought system parts to upgrade my 4 year old AMD processor to i5-3570k ivy bridge, and when i was upgrading I had to get new motherboard and other stuffs.

My Problem

So, all the parts are within 2-3 weeks old except the graphic card. Now..here is the problem
I cannot figure out whats causing my computer to freeze very randomly. It never freezes when its booting, but sometimes it will freeze after 1-5 minute of being on. Sometimes 30minute, sometimes i can game up to like hours and hours and it will be fine.

Computer never just shuts off by it self, but it always freezes when it runs into problem. This morning, i turned on the computer to write about my problem on forum, after typing a little it froze on me, now I have been typing for awhile now and it is running great, the computer will freeze rather im gaming or surfing the web, or even when it just came on, it is totally random.

However if i leave my computer on and if it freezes and if i dont turn of my computer for awhile, 1-2 hours..it will turn off.
Last night I left my computer on for testing purpose, and this morning it was great, then when i touched it, 20 minute later it froze again.

Before buying the corsair SSD, i was running this with the Samsung 1tb HD, was having the same problem, i thought it might of been the bad harddrive, so i tried the SSD, and still i am having the same problem, right now im using 2HD and SSD, but I also tried with just the SSD and yes the problem is still there, so i dont think its the Harddrive problem.

Which brings me to all the other parts. As for ram its too late to return it to try it again, and for motherboard and cpu today is exactly the 14th return date, I bought it at microcenter.
Do you think it could be the motherboard and/or cpu problem? or could it be the ram? I really dont think it could be the psu...anyway please help and sorry that i talked too much, I really really need this fixed. Thanks so much for listning.

Temperature

Edit: Oh and also here is the temperature when running the computer (Im using Real temp GT)
Right now, computer has been on for around 30 minutes with no problem, and cpu is running at 45C, GPU is running at 37C

When I'm gaming, it goes up to 82C for CPU which is pretty hot, (saving up for a cpu cooler) and for GPU hottest it gets is 71C
Average it sticks on for CPU is around 78 though, and for gpu average is 65 (when gaming)

But the thing.. is like I said computer freezes so randomly ever since i made this, even when I just turned it on, so I dont think it has to do with tempereature..I think...

Your CPU is running way too hot. Get an aftermarket cooler such as the Hyper 212+ and some good thermal paste to go with it. That's what causing your PC to freeze. 78C at idle is far too hot. With the stock cooler it should be around 40-50C at idle and 70-75C at load. Anything higher and it's quite dangerous.

Might also be worth running Memtest86 to make sure your RAM is OK and not defective. Download it from http://www.memtest86.com, burn the ISO to a CD, boot off the CD and run the test for 6-12 hours, or overnight.
 
the 78 is for when im gaming, sorry I forgot to mention that, and thats around 2-3 hours into gaming temperature, normally it's around 40-50, but yes it does get pretty hot
 
Try running Memtest and see if you any have bad RAM DIMMs. Failing that, maybe reinstall Windows. I know that's not really the ideal solution though.
 
alright I ll try running the memtest, but do you think I should looking to exchanging Mobo and the cpu? today is the last day to do that, but im not sure what the chances are for those 2 to be bad
 
I think the problem is likely either the RAM or the CPU is getting too hot. Are all your drivers up to date? Graphics, SATA, chipset etc?
 
ya as far as I know, however when i got the motherboard, i only did drivers from the CD not the latest from the site yet, and yes, got the latest driver for the graphic card as well.
 
so does the test normally go for 6-12 hours? Im currently at (Pass 70%)

But i never ran this program so i actually don't even know how this thing is doing lol, or how long it will last
 
It will run for eternity, but you can stop it after 6 or so hours. It needs to test the memory multiple times in order to determine if anything is defective at all. Wouldn't run it for any less than 4 hours myself.
 
If you ran it for over six hours without getting any errors you have no hardware problems that Memtest86+ can detect.

Have you tried plugging the hard drives into different Serial ATA ports on the motherboard.
 
so while the test is happening, will it tell me if there is a problem or not? or is there no way to find out how the test is going until stopping the program after 4 hour or so?

Also this program only tests for ram right?
 
alright thanks a lot, i ll let you know when its been awhile. So far it tells me pass complete, no errors press esc to exit. I guess thats good sign for now, but i ll let it keep running like you said.

Memtest86+ will continue to run as long as you let it. Someone I knew ran it for over ten hours. I have seen Memtest86+ return errors on a bad hard drive.
 
Remove your CPU heatsink, remove the thermal paste from the CPU, then apply new thermal paste, reinstall your heatsink and see if your temps are any lower. Consider upgrading to an aftermarket cooling perhaps?
 
I will, I was looking at corsair h80 or antic 920 liquid cooling, do you think those are okay? or just go with cooler master hyper 212?
 
Unless you intend on doing some serious overclocking, I'd save the money and just get a Hyper 212+. You should be able to overclock fine on the 212+ anyway.
