I just got a new 1tb hdd and i tried installing it but it doesnt show up, it says its there but in the computer setting, it doesnt show that its there. is there something in the bios that i need to mess with by chance?
 
The bios can read it, the only problem is, is that i have no way to access it. i cant save anything to it or anything
 
If it's a SATA drive that's not in RAID, did you set your BIOS to see this drive as an IDE type?

If it's a SATA drive that's in a RAID, did you load the drivers via pressing F6 before installing the OS?
 
In your BIOS, go into your harddrive settings and see what the drive is set to, if it's not set to IDE, set it to it. Then it should pick it up.
